New Balance 9060
Introduced in 2022 as New Balance's "fashion sneaker", the NB 9060 quickly caught on. Yue Wu (Protection Pack designer) and James Lee are at the origin of its Y2K design. They took inspiration from the 990 series to create this pair of sneakers. The plastic element around the heel, for example, can also be found on the New Balance 990.
New Balance 9060 collaborations
To introduce its new design, New Balance relied on a series of collaborations, each as original as the next. The collaborations with Bodega and Joe Freshgoods were very popular, but the one that really stood out was the New Balance 9060 Bricks & Wood. The hype around this partnership made it one of the most expensive 9060s, and brought the shoe to the forefront of the market.
